In the month of March, for International Women*’s Day, we aim to collectively reflect on international feminist solidarities with Palestine. There is a rich history of anti-imperial feminist (women, queer, trans) resistance and liberation practices in the Global South against the violence of racism and fascism, racial capitalism, deteriorated environments, heteropatriarchy, and gender oppression, to name a few. Within this context the event explores various feminist issues and perspectives in relation to Palestine. Speakers will briefly present a specific topic related to their approaches to feminism. These individual presentations will be followed by a closing discussion.
We ask that attendees come in a spirit of curiosity and openness. This gathering is anti-racist and against both Islamophobia and antisemitism. The safety of our speakers and of the members of our communities, many of whom are facing increased racism and repression at the moment, is our priority and aggression will not be tolerated. All genders are welcome, but we ask that cis-men be mindful of how much space they take up during the discussion.
